A North Wales getaway isn't complete without a visit to some of its stunning sandy beaches. The Old Mill Holiday Cottages are in an idyllic location with a range of beaches and seaside resorts easily accessible within a 25 - 60 minute drive.

Colwyn Bay & Rhos on Sea
Dogs are welcome all year round at this beach! Enjoy miles of sandy beaches and dunes, ideal for bucket and spade fun. Or enjoy the clearly marked routes and walk for miles! Do be aware of tide times! Toilets and café facilities near the car parks.
A fabulous well-kept Victoria seaside town, complete with miles of promenade, perfect for family fun during the summer months – At North Shore Beach you can find donkey rides, Punch and Judy Shows, speed boat rides, plus a pier with amusement arcades and entertainment. West Shore beach is a peaceful contrast, rugged and natural.
Is a pretty sea-side town without the crowds! It has a range of small shops, cafes, ice cream parlours and restaurants all conveniently located near the promenade. It’s a nice place for a stroll. In the summer months there’s a small crazy golf, and a play park with lido that’s popular with families. Theres a lovely walk to Colwyn Bay, along the newly renovated promenade which ends at the new Watersports centre. (1.8 miles in total)
Prestatyn
Park at the Nova Centre (Swimming pool, café and sports centre) – You can enjoy miles of sandy beach, plus there’s a wide flat tarmac path alongside the beach which extends for miles, ideal for bikes, scooters, prams, dog walking etc. There’s also a large children’s play park near the Nova Centre car park.
Newborough (Anglesey)
The approach to the beach is via a lane through pine forest, at the end you emerge at a stunning un-spoilt sandy beach stretching for miles, with stunning views of Snowdonia. There are also many woodland trails you can enjoy, ideal for walking or bike riding. Toilets and catering facilities available at the car park. Change needed to get through the barrier and access the beach road.
Rhosneigr (Anglesey)
A charming sleepy village which is becoming more popular, especially with the cool crowd! The beach here attracts wind surfers, kite surfers and there are a couple of surf shops. There are a few cafes and shops on the high street.
How To Find Us
The Old Mill Holiday Cottages are conveniently located on the A541 between Mold and Denbigh in North Wales. The holiday cottages are 10mins from the A55 - westbound lies the beautiful Anglesey whilst eastbound links onto the M56 motorway.
